Systemless in a Parallel World

Chapter 131 Limit

As the Goat-head rolled over the ground, silence filled the entire Colosseum.

The only sound that rang out through the Colosseum was a crying child.

A moment later, Zayn coughed up blood and his skin ruptured once again. His entire body was bloodied and his left hand and forearm looked like they had been frozen. He couldn\'t feel them anymore, which would have aroused panic within Zayn, if his situation was not that grave.

The thick mist of the Lion-head shrouded the Chimera and Zayn in the entirety. Thus, Zayn lost control of his saber\'s power and control of the soul particles that swept through his entire body.

Unable to control the soul particles, the only thing Zayn could possibly do in order to prevent his limbs from being torn apart and miserably dying, was to unleash everything at once.

He released the remaining soul particles inside his body in an attempt to finish the Chimera. However, the soul particles didn\'t combust to an energy ball. They dispersed in all direction, creating shockwave that spread the thick mist of the Chimera even further.

Zayn had no way of retreat, his strength left him and an eerie coldness began to spread through his entire body.

My body is not yet strong enough to handle the Dragontale Twin Sabers\' true power, Zayn thought with regret. At this moment, he hated Manager Tilan to the core. Just because he was possessed with profits, he healed the Chimera, endangering the citizens of the entire city. That was negligent and extremely dangerous, not only for him but everyone else as well!

Zayn grit his teeth, trying to stay on his wobbly feet. His entire body felt like jelly, thought frozen jelly. He was extremely weak right now and it was obvious that he wouldn\'t be able to initiate another full-blown attack. Removing one of the Chimera\'s head was already more than Merlin had been capable of when he was at his peak, and Merlin had been a Peak Soul Knight at that time.

Zayn did very well fighting the Chimera. Unfortunately, he had reached his limit.

The Chimera was even more enraged than it had been earlier. It actually lost one of its heads and its tail had been removed as well. Killing Zayn in a normal way was not enough for the monster, whose entire being seemed to have turned Berserk. The acid of the Lizard-head began to change. It was released into the thick mist that was dyed green.

The green mist expanded rapidly, shrouding the Chimera and Zayn in no time.

Zayn felt his exposed skin itching and looking at his arms, he realized without much difficulty that his skin was being corroded. He lost control of his body not long after and collapsed to the ground.

The Spectators in the seating area could clearly see the outlines of the Challenger and the Chimera from their position. The light green mist was not yet thick enough to hide the end of the fight, or what everyone presumed to be the end.

Unaffected by its own poison and the thick mist, the Chimera stepped closer to the Challenger, who was lying on the ground, unmoving. It was not even certain whether the Challenger was still alive, or if he had already died.

The countless injuries that had covered the Challenger\'s body and the blood that had drenched his clothes red indicated that it was more likely that the Challenger had already bled to death.

However, the referee had yet to announce the end of the challenge. That meant, the Challenger was either alive or that the referee was unable to say for sure either.

As the Chimera towered above Zayn\'s body, it roared out loudly. More thick mist was released, hiding the Chimera and the Challenger\'s bodies completely. Not even their outlines could be seen in the thick mist. The only thing that rang through the surrounding was the remnant of the Chimera\'s roar.

In the meantime, the situation inside the thick mist was not necessarily better. Zayn was fighting desperately in an attempt to stay conscious. But that was not everything.

He was also trying to curl up and move to a better position.

The cloak didn\'t cover his entire body right now!

\'Let\'s see if you\'re still inflammable,\' he thought weakly while giving the Sparrow Spirits the necessary authority to wander through his body and release their fire needles from wherever they desired.

Zayn stopped moving, having given up to protect his whole body from the aftermath of the thing horrifying events that were about to happen.

\'The Medics can just heal me.\'

That thought hung loosely in his mind as two big fire needles, one from each of his Sparrow Spirits, were released from his right, twisted and broken palm.

The fire needles were shot in a way to cross one another.

Sparks ignited.

Then blazing flames flared up.

They shrouded the green mist, turning the center of the Colosseum\'s arena into a searing hot campfire.

As for the Chimera and the Challenger, they were devoured by the blazing flames.

The Chimera roared out in terror as its entire body was set ablaze.

Despite being immune to both the corrosive acid of the Lizard-head and the mist of the Lion-head, the flames that shrouded them were too hot. They burned through the Chimera, depriving the monster of its sanity.

Meanwhile, as the Chimera issued desperate noises of unbearable pain as it was facing the threat of being burned to death, Zayn was curling up more and more in the Pikur Salamander Cloak. His frozen arms thawed and he could move them once again.

However, even his cloak couldn\'t absorb the entire heat that filled the room. The Pikur Salamander Cloak was slowly burned to a crisp, and the temperature around Zayn increased gradually.

But even if Zayn wanted to do something against the heat, or his current situation, there was nothing he could do.

He was shrouded in the blazing flames, waiting for the Chimera to die.

After five whole minutes, the Pikuar Salamander Cloak had been burned.

The flames died down, and a Soul Wisp emerged in the midst of the Colosseum\'s arena.
