The Villain's Little Cat

Chapter 291 - 291 Rank 8

If the giant mutated animals were to grow stronger, how were they supposed to deal with these giant mutated animals?

Some people couldn’t sleep.

They were all awaiting the third red rain anxiously, especially those who hadn’t awakened. All of them wished that they could awaken certain abilities.

But in the end, they all fainted when the clock ticked at 12.

In the morning, Kate woke up naturally. She looked outside the window and suddenly felt that something was strange. Her senses were getting better and it was to the point that she could see the world around her through a different layer.

.....

How come she grew stronger overnight?

Kate was puzzled as she could feel that her improvement was not small at all. After reaching rank 7 back then, Kate estimated that it would take her months or maybe more than a year’s time to reach the next rank.

But now, she suspected that she had reached rank 8 in her healing ability.

She looked at the window and the wet glass that was stained in red color, her pupil constricted. ‘Third red rain?’

Kate stood up and looked around warily. If there were more new giant mutated animals, she would be damned to deal with them. But looking through her newfound ability, she didn’t find any new giant mutated animals species aside from those that she had seen before.

‘Hmm, so no new species and only these giant mutated animals getting stronger?’

Kate tilted her head and then looked in the direction of Kyle’s room. Just as she was thinking of visiting Kyle, Kate felt that there was a tearing in the space and suddenly, she appeared in Kyle’s room.

Kate blinked her eyes.

This….

Rank 7 space ability?

Teleportation?

Kate was stunned as she looked at her hand and began to test her new ability to go back and forth her room and Kyle’s room. After a few times, she finally understood that after reaching rank 7, space ability was no longer just an auxiliary ability but it was a very powerful one.

Her enemies would technically never be able to catch her.

Space shield and now teleportation.

The space ability was getting more and more outrageous.

“Kyle?” Kate noticed Kyle stirred up. She crouched beside his bed, watching as Kyle woke up. This made her feel like she was back during the time when she was a cat and would be able to see Kyle woke up every day.

Who made her always wake up earlier?

But Kyle still look quite good when he was sleeping.

He had peaceful expression along with messy hair. It was a sight that was rarely seen from what Kyle usually showed outside.

Thinking about bed hair, Kate silently took out a comb and smoothed her long hair. While her hair was not that long, it was definitely far longer than Kyle and needed proper comb to take care.

Kyle blinked his eyes and then turned to look at Kate. He smiled faintly. “Hey, did you come here to flaunt your newfound strength?”

“How do you know?” Kate looked at Kyle suspiciously.

“There’s red rain last night.” Kyle laughed lightly. He could sense the chance in his body and guessed that both his fire and lightning ability had reached rank 7 and it was not just ordinary rank 7 but one that had already advanced several minor advancements.

Kate pouted. She had already fallen asleep when the red rain occurred.

How could she know about the red rain happened?

“Shall we go to test our ability?”

“Eat first.”

“Ok, ok.”

The two of them washed up separately and then went to the dining room. As they walked, they saw General Ryan looked so proud of himself as if he had just won the lottery.

“Old Man, you’re just a rank 6, don’t be so proud of yourself.”

“There are not many people who had reached rank 6, you damn brat!” General Ryan flared out again. He felt that this son of his could never treat him better even though he’s this brat’s father.

Kyle snorted. “I’m going to test my ability with Kate after breakfast. Do you want to join?”

“No. I have no interest to join in your trip.” General Ryan waved his hand. He was already so old, why should he bother the youngsters and be fed with dog food? He had no such interest to torture himself.

Kyle nodded. “Up to you. Shall we go?”

Kate smiled and took Kyle’s hand. In the next moment, the two of them disappeared and appeared on top of the wall. General Ryan was stunned speechless when he saw the scene and looked up at the sky.

Alright, he’s far inferior than his daughter in law.

Being beaten by his son and now he was also facing a stronger daughter in law… General Ryan didn’t know whether to laugh or cry. Still, he felt gratified when he thought of Kyle’s smile.

That brat had been smiling genuinely for the past few days.

And it made him also happy secretly.

Oh well, let those two have fun. He would just go back to do his work and to restrain these awakened who had their ability advanced due to the red rain. Some of them might be a bit too excited and ended up using their abilities inside the city and destroyed public facilities.

*sigh*

There will definitely be a round of fine imposed today.

General Ryan started to think about the rules to be implemented inside City E to make sure that these people would not outrageously use their ability inside the city.

If they were to destroy the city… where should he turn to cry?

No.

That couldn’t be done.

He had to ask these researchers to figure out a way to make sure these awakened will not use their abilities recklessly inside the city.

He couldn’t afford the repair again!
