Monarch of Darkness, Arsene

Chapter 909 Divinity Of Sin III

So this was Zena. It is not wrong to call her a battle junkie. I shook my head in response to the mental case, and my eyes turned to Zantar facing down the barrel of a gun and Raziel glaring with a look that could kill.

The sword of burning souls hummed a deadly song as the Divinity of Sin began to ripple off its edge. And a guarded look seemed to flash off the False King, causing the thin line of his lips to curl down and his jaw to tighten.

"Do you even know what you wield?" The rabid dog barked.

While the Divinity of Sin wasn\'t a brand new concept, among the Fallen, my Path of Abyssal Night had shifted its dynamic. Instead of catering to the Sins of Man, it would bend towards the Sins of the Abyss.

The Divinity of Sin was a concept that comes from the soul; it fuses Astral Force, Will, into the core of Gods. To carry the Heavenly Qi of Sin means that I carry the privilege of rising above the devils and stand equally with the monster like the Abyssal Fiends, the Angels, and all that find themselves crossing my path.

"Not even the foggiest,\' I cheerfully sang

\'FOOL!" He roared, and I flashed.

Piercing through the shadows, the Spear of Noctem shimmering in a ghastly dark light struck against the raw chest of Raziel as my words threw him off his game. Blasting him out of the city, a shockwave that sent the tectonic plates into a frenzy trembled.

The darkness became my eyes, and in a moment, I was beside Raziel as he stared me down with a horrid look, only realizing he had been struck when he saw me emerge.

\'Severing Chain," I uttered, swiping my blade down to sever his head, applying the concept of supremacy to my blade.

BOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOM!

Shattering mountains, Raziel managed to block my blade, but not before coughing up a month full of blood as he was blasted away, ricocheting through the planet\'s crust.

"ARSENE!!!! You wretched cur! KNEEL BEFORE CHRIST!!!!" Wailed the False King as the concept of time rippled out, and in a moment, all lingering concepts of time vanished. Fear should have drenched my back, but only exhilaration seemed to come over my Natural Instinct as the spear of Noctem hummed.

"THAT POWER MAY BE ABLE TO ALLOW YOU TO CHALLENGE ME, BUT YOU SHALL NOT WIN!!!!" he continued, his voice thick as a mountain and regal as any king. And yet, as he spoke, another voice came.

"Call upon me, my champion! The Azure Abyss Calls!"

The true voice of the Abyss said, and at that moment, I felt a rich amount of power equal to the one released from Raziel pierce the skies.

"Envision it. Envision \'your\' darkness. Envision your sins. Envision the Abyssal Sin, my child of Abyssal Night. Wear its crown, for the power you seek, resides, not in the throne of night, but the Abyss! Shed thy mortal thought, Ye Child of Night. And Sever thy wretched chains."

"ARSENE!!!!!!"

A voice from the great beyond bellowed as Balor appeared above me, slamming his fist down with such indiscriminate force that I was forced through a black hole due to the sheer gravitational force.

Peering at my hand as I whipped through the far reaches of the Abyss, I smiled, barely feeling a stinging sensation as I moved. Appearing right behind Balor as he snapped his eye at me with a look of disbelief.

"Impossible! Your Shadow Step shouldn\'t be that—"

"If the Darkness exists, I can be there," I calmly said to the horned devil.

"I\'ll handle them, My King. " Zantar roared as a formation that truly sent fear down my spine sprang into creation.

Covering half the planet, I narrowed my eyes at the insufferable aura leaking from hits scarlet web. My eyes almost popped out of my socket as he uttered the words feared by all.

"Infinite Grigori!"

"Look at me!!!!\' Bellowed the false king, snapping into existence with a radiant spear, cleaving it down with such force he shattered the concept of space.

By the time I moved, blood had already slipped down my robes. The wound wasn\'t that big, only reaching to my bone near the rib cage, but nothing significant was struck as I appeared to his rear with a single thought, placing the tip of my sword upon his back.

Heaven and Hell converged as the image of a shattering universe filled my mind.

Abyss-Chan said envision. So envision I shall! To sever my Chains; I\'ve no idea what that means, but—

As I did, I could feel Both the Path of Abyssal Night and the Divinity of Sin swell, and from the corner of my eye, Izavith appeared, clapping her hands together as an explosion happened. And everything went black.

Ash traced over my eyes, stinging them shut as tears fluttered out. I looked upon the land, at the lava gushing out, and up towards the skies shattered, seemingly broken beyond repair, as I felt a presence so strong, they made the Demonic Mother\'s aura seem insignificant, ebbing from the swirling vortex of Chaos.

"Bloody Hell," I said as my face paled.

"The Path of Abyssal Night, Creates, and the Divinity of Sin executes thy will. Bring forth Chaos, and it shall be, Wish upon a star, and so it shall appear, so is the power of the One, and the All, the power of the Bridge.

"The world\'s laws are out of control!"

I heard Izavith\'s voice hurriedly say as I looked around at the world around me slowly deteriorating; I opened my hands to repair, too—"

"Once a day, Sene, or once a year." Lilith\'s voice sang within my mind as I could hear the exhaustion in her voice, " You took energy from not just me but the little ones too."

A gut-wrenching feeling filled my insides as I covered my mouth; feeling the world suddenly spin; I staggered back, almost collapsing.

"You win this one, Arsene," Balor said, appearing with a calm regal expression; by his side stood Raziel with a small hole in his chest, but aside from heavy blood loss, he seemed perfectly fine. But his eyes were hollow, and the aura around him was seemingly dead.

"We took a hit today, but not all is lost."

"It never is, at least till I steal it away," I replied with a knowing smile.

Balor chuckled. " You may try, but despite your new gain in power, unless you\'re a paragon, you\'ve no hope of killing us; the most you can do is give us a flesh wound," he said as I watched in fascination as the wound upon Raziel mend at the blink of an eye. "We never wanted you to be the Monarch of Darkness, but events have already occurred, and there is no turning back. Upon the emergence of the Monarch of Darkness and Light. The day of your death will occur, alongside the whore you call your wife will be cut down by my blade. I will end you and your cursed line. You have my word, Arsene Snow."
